Connie Jordan, abstract artist admit that my life is wonderful. I have supported myself with my art since I was 18 years old. I never realized that my life was unusual, until people began to ask me, how do you make a living as an artist? My response is always, “I don’t make a living from my art-I make a life!”
I have been privileged to show my work around the world and it has been purchased by various celebrities as well as by everyday people. I don’t feel that I have lived some kind of charmed life; I just took a different path than most artists seem to take. This is why I am doing seminars and have partnered with author Kathryn E. Eriksen to write the book “Re-Paint Your Life, Make a living in art”, based on my philosophies. It is my way of showing other artist that you can make a living in art. I have opened Jordan Art Gallery to help up and coming artist get a head start in the art world. I am also sharing my knowledge of art with children as well as adults. My goal is to help artist make a living in art. And to teach others the importance of art and the artist that create it.
